Martin Mall had only been juggling for one and a half years when he won the bronze medal at the International Jugglers Association competitions in the USA in 1994. He soon became known internationally as a renewing force for the ancient art of diabolo and recognized not just in the juggling community but throughout the world. In addition to demonstrating a high level of technical mastery, he developed a creative new method for presenting the motion of the diabolos through light.

Audiences around the world have been awed by the magical beauty of his show "diabololights." Creative laser-light effects transform the diabolos into living objects that appear to fly through the air on their own. Images of circles and spirals dance through the darkness like mischievous fairies, accentuated by exact movements to music composed specifically for this spectacular scene.

At the prestigious Festival "Cirque de Demain 2001" in Paris, he was the first diabolist ever to win a silver medal. He also presented "diabololights" in the motherland of this ancient prop - and was awarded with the bronze lion prize at the 8th China Wuqiao Circus Festival.
